Creating a W-2 is not an option!

Under the law, a church must issue a W-2 form to the pastor and any other employee of the church. A 1099-Misc is not the legal way to do it. Most churches do not issue a W-2 and instead give a 1099-misc to the pastor. This is not correct and greatly increases the chances of an audit of the pastor's tax return and also increases the chances of the church getting a compliance check letter. Let us show you how to create a W-2 and send it to the correct government agency. Many churches believe that the W-2 is sent to the IRS. It actually goes to Social Security with a W-3.

Reimbursement plan for pastors, or anyone else in the church

I am the pastors wife and the church's administrator. I do not get paid for the work I do for the church. Pastor is a board member but we were told that I could not be because I am his wife, even though I do work for the church full time free of charge. We have attended one of your compliance conference's. We purchased all of the materials you had for sell. I just need to know where to look for the information concerning the pastor's wife, reimbursement policy, and us using the church's debit cards. We want to be in full compliance in every area of our church.
