Reflecting on 2022

The holidays are often a time of joy and anticipation, but for many, they are also filled with busyness, reflection, and sometimes a sense of unmet expectation. The beginning of a new year can feel like a clean slate and an opportunity to change or accomplish something new. But oftentimes, the year starts, time moves even more quickly than before, and we get caught up in everything we do each day. Then, before we know it, the end of the year is here all over again, and the things we hoped to see come to pass are still living in our hearts and minds. And maybe you are in a season of being on the verge, the one where there is a small voice inside calling you to your next step, and you know you cannot stay still, and that knowledge makes this year the biggest one yet. 

Wherever you are today, I am here to encourage you. Every single day, we talk to men and women who have dreams and callings. From those who are being led to start a church in a new city, to those whose passion is digital ministry and are called to evangelize online but don’t know how to start, to those who know that their purpose is to realize a need in the community, StartCHURCH has had the honor of coming alongside these Kingdom builders for the past 20 years, and we hope to do so for the next 20 years to come. 

As you look towards 2023, I want to share some practical ways that StartCHURCH exists to serve you. 

First and foremost, we are here to validate the call in your life. So often, the call to ministry can be both the most exciting and challenging season for a planter. From questions of “why me?” and “what if I fail?” to doubts and questions from the people around us, this time can feel tinged with uncertainty and fear. But the Word tells us in Acts 1:8 that the Holy Spirit will come upon us and give us the power we need. And we are reminded again in Romans 8:28 that all things work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose. So today, we want to encourage you to take heart! While this call on your life is not easy, it is truly a great one, and we are here to help you see it come to pass. 

Next, we are here to provide you with the team you need to succeed.
